MOBI PICKER - Sep 16 - The Amazfit comes with a pedometer, sleep recording, call reminders, and several other functions. Most of the body of the Amazfit bracelet is built using Zirconia ceramic , and it comes in black and white color options. The company offers a men’s version of the bracelet, called ‘Equator’, and a women’s variant called ‘Frost’ – both priced at around US$46.91. Both the wearables are available for trial via the official website and will be released in mid-October.

PHONE ARENA - Jul 15 - The waterproof sneakers are made by Li-Ning, a local athlete brand, and sport a military grade motion sensor, as well as a Bluetooth chip inside the midsole. Pressure and motion sensors inside register walks and runs, then relay fitness stats to a pedometer or calorie counter health app. Xiaomi's shoes cost just 199 yuan, which is about $32, and the battery is said to last more than a year.

Xiaomi does not break out its revenue by product, but it brought in $12B in total revenues during 2014, mostly through gadget sales. If sales for the Mi Band continue to grow, it could capture a majority of the low-end market, as its phones have in China.
