USA TODAY - Aug 5 – Timex announced that it will release the Ironman One GPS+ smartwatch this fall. The company teamed up with AT&T and Qualcomm on a connected version of the watch. It is primarily targeted at runners, featuring its own connection to AT&T's 3G network. The first year of data is free. The watch is priced at $399.95, and only features a few built-in apps. For heart rate tracking, a special $439.95 version features a built in monitor and an accessory chest strap. The watch runs on the Qualcomm Brew platform and features the 1.5” Mirasol touch display.
