Each screen will display the same thing so users can see content in stereo.

SiME Smartglasses Get Stronger, Sleeker

SiME smartglassesTOM'S GUIDE - Sep 6 - Runs a full version of Android 4.4, powered by a 1.2-GHz dual-core Cortex A9 CPU, complete with 1 GB RAM and 4GB of onboard storage. The device sports a slim all-black plastic build, a transparent front facing display positioned in front of the right eye that houses a 5-MP camera (shoots 1080p video), and the ability to download apps without using a smartphone. A $1,000 developer model expected by the end of the year.

SiMEye Wins Computex Best Choice Award

Chipsip smart glassQR CODE PRESS – June 10 – ChipSip's SiMEye smart glass won the Best Choice award from Computex. The $500 SiMEye is capable of downloading Android apps directly from the Play Store and captures 1080p video. Google Glass requires apps to be downloaded to a smartphone and then transferred to the device, captures 720p video, and costs $1500. ChipSip may challenge Google in wearables market in much the same way that Lenovo overtook HP in the PC market.

ChipSip Showcases SiMEye Smart Glass

Chipsips-simeye-smart-glassHNGN - June 4 - ChipSip showcased its SiMEye Smart Glass at Computex, with plans to sell the device for $500. SiMEye features a touchpad, 720 pixel display, and operates on Android 4.2.2. The smart glass runs a selection of apps similar to those found on smartphones. No launch date has been announced.
