The Nabu also includes a monochrome OLED display that shows a variety of notifications, including text messages, emails, calendar appointments, and caller ID. The idea is to wear the screen on the underside of your wrist, glancing at it to decide whether you really need to take out your phone.

Razer Nabu Expected To Be Released In October

The Nabu currently features a 32x32 pixel display. The company also recently partnered with Tencent.

Razer Nabu Will Be Fully Integrated With WeChat

Razer nabu smartbandFORBES – July 23 – Razer's Nabu smartband will be the first wearable that is fully integrated with Tencent's WeChat messaging platform, which has over 400M daily active users. The Nabu band will show all of the notifications a smartphone would, record all of the metrics a fitness band would, and allow users to share information by shaking hands. Razer hasn’t announced the official price yet, but expects to ship millions of units at under $100. Nabu will launch in China in Q4 2014.

Razer nabu fitness bandCNET NEWS – July 8 – Razer received 250K sign-ups for a chance to be one of the first 500 people to test the Nabu fitness tracker. Selected users will receive a Nabu for $1. The device was unveiled at CES and is a smartwatch/fitness band hybrid, featuring a 128x32 pixel display to provide info from a smartphone as well as health data. It is compatible with iPhone 5, 5S, 5C and Android 4.3 and up. Developers have been able to purchase a Nabu for $49.99.

The clip-on wearable device Kiwi Move senses motion, temperature, and sound while maintaining battery life for up to five days. The Kiwi Move has Wi-Fi and pairs with Android and iOS devices.
