LEXOLOGY - Aug 11 - According to the complaint, the FuelBand does not in fact track each calorie burned, each step taken, or accurately measure activity for conversion to NikeFuel. Rather, the Plaintiffs allege that users experience wildly inaccurate step, calorie, and NikeFuel readings, and that Nike was aware that the product could not accurately perform these tasks when it first marketed and sold the product.
Nike Apologizes For FuelBand Fitness Trackers With $25 Gift Cards
CBS NEWS - Jul 29 - Nike will give partial refunds or gift cards to people who bought FuelBand fitness trackers in the last 3 1/2 years, resolving a lawsuit that says the products can't accurately tally how many steps a user is taking or how many calories they've burned.
Nike And Apple Legal Defeat
VENTURE BEAT - Jul 25 - Nike and Apple have agreed to settle in a class action lawsuit alleging that the two sold the Nike FuelBand fitness tracker in spite of knowing that the device’s biometrics measurements were inaccurate. Nike will pay out $2.4M in claims to people who bought the FuelBand between January 2012 and June 2015. Apple, which sold the FuelBand in its stores up until March of this year, will pay nothing.

Nike Hints At 'Stylish' Wearables Future With Apple
TECHRADAR - Oct 22 - "Technologically we can do things together that we couldn't do independently," said Nike CEO Mark Parker. They plan to expand the whole digital frontier in terms of wearables, bringing it from tens of millions of users - right now there's 25M Nike+ users - to hundreds of millions. He continued to say, "I think what you'll see in the future are things that are more stealth, more integrated, more stylish, and more functional."
Nike May Play Role In Apple iWatch
THE MOTLEY FOOL – July 13 – Apple has a close relationship with Nike, with Tim Cook having sat on Nike's board longer than his tenure as Apple CEO. Nike also developed an app for the M7 motion coprocessor in the iPhone 5S prior to its launch. Several rumors insinuate that Nike may be tapped to give Apple clout in the fitness market with the iWatch. Nike canceled the FuelBand hardware to focus on software, with CEO Mark Parker saying he was excited about an Apple partnership. Apple even hired several former FuelBand team members.
