With the solution, a pair of Epson smart glasses will feature iDent's eye-CAD Connect software to assist dentists using a CAD/CAM system that produces 3D digital models of patient teeth for dental restoration.

Epson Moverio BT-200PCR - May 13 - The Epson Moverio BT-200 smart glasses is aiming at the industrial sector. Epson also teamed up with interactive 3D software manufacturer Ngrain to produce a developer kit. A separate control device comes with the glasses, which connects to it through a wire. A built-in camera, gyroscope and GPS sensor are included and it also runs on Android.

Epson PulssenseENGADGET - Sep 2 - The Runsense GPS watch range tracks running even without a signal using stride sensors. Models include the basic SF-310 (£150), the SF-510 (£190 with stride sensor and tap commands), and the SF-710 (£230 adds training functions, altitude info and a vibration alert). The Pulsense line monitors heart rate, activity and sleep quality using a blend of optical and motion sensors and has a 36-hour battery. Models include: the PS-100 (£130 with basic LED display) and the PS-500 (£170 with data-rich LCD and USB syncing). Both devices share data with smartphones.

Two tiny projectors display a 960x540 resolution image for both eyes with a 23-degree field of view in both 2D and 3D. Epson Moverio Smart Glasses Go On Sale For $700

Epson smart glassesWSJ - May 5 - Epson, best known for its printers and projectors, is pushing a pair of its own glasses, dubbed the Moverio BT-200. The Moverio headset has two screens, and is now on sale to the public. The cost: $699.99. Though lightweight and comfortable, the glasses are far from stylish. Moverio requires the use of a handheld touchpad to operate. It runs on Google’s Android 4.0. Other features include motion sensors built into the headset, Bluetooth, interchangeable lenses and a front-facing camera, removable batteries.
