NY DAILY NEWS - Feb 25 - Alcohol supplier Diageo partnered with Thinfilm smart systems developer to create a smart bottle that provides digital information by using printed sensor tags that can be detected by smartphones with near field communication. When the consumer taps their phone to the bottle, they would be informed if the bottle is authentic and if it's sealed or open. The smart tags would also provide other digital information such as cocktail recipes and promotional offers.
