The technology can be adapted to other applications such as autonomous vehicles, manufacturing units, space programmes and defense, and the company is looking at upgrading the application to driverless cars.

EPOCH TIMES - Nov 27 - The watch body would be made of graphene, a one atom thick and practically indestructible conductive and flexible material. uGear PeaClock would pack in many of the benefits one would expect of a smartwatch, as well as others that may be unexpected, such as the holographic keyboard.
ANDROID AUTHORITY - Nov 27 - The patent shows a round watch operated by a ring around the face. The innovation in the patent is displaying a daily agenda on a circular interface divided into “slices”. Rotating the ring is just one of the proposed ways to edit entries from the agenda.
THE DRUM - Nov 27 - As a result of the deal, users of Adidas’ wearable technology and fitness trackers will be able to enjoy music from a library of 34 million tracks while they exercise. Users will be able to access tracks while offline if they sign up for the six-month ad-free service.

The project, called Wanderers: An Astrobiological Exploration are small habitats worn on the body. “Living matter within these structures will ultimately transform oxygen for breathing, photons for seeing, biomass for eating, biofuels for moving and calcium for building.”

PC WORLD - Nov 27 - The E-Label Act, passed by both the U.S. Senate and the House of Representatives, aims to allow manufacturers to display the statutory FCC label digitally on the screen of the device, which would be easier for makers of smartphones and wearables that are having much less free space on the outside of the devices.
WIRED - Nov 26 - Despite its struggles, Glass can boast that plenty of major apps run on its OS, including Google's own. If Google opens up the Glass software platform the way it has Android, other hardware makers would likely flock to it. For wearable hardware to succeed, Google doesn't need to make its own glasses. It just needs everyone to see the world through its eyes.
TELEGRAPH.CO.UK - Nov 26 - Match.com has launched its first Android Wear app, bringing the popular dating app to smartwatches and other wearables. Users can browse profiles featuring just their name, picture, age and city. Match.com is among the first dating apps to make the transition to wearables, which will play a "big role in the future of dating services" according to the company's country manager Karl Gregory.

IMEDICALAPPS - Nov 25 - A study out of the University of British Columbia in Canada determined, when measuring steps, the percent relative error was below 1.3% for all tested treadmill walking speeds. Fitbit did not do well when it came to measuring distance. At slower speeds, Fitbit would over estimate distances walked. Flexibility of placement of the device: placed in three different locations on the body, and all locations yielded similar results.

An alarm vibrates on the wrist when the user has bad posture.
