CNET NEWS - Aug 27 - The Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits has adapted its Sophisticated High-speed Object Recognition Engine (SHORE) technology for Google Glass, creating an app that can evaluate a subject's emotional status, gender and age. It will not identify the person or upload data to the cloud. The app processes video in real-time on the Glass processor. It is intended to be a communication aid for use by people with conditions such as autism. The app is not currently available for download.
