MASHABLE - Aug 27 - FIXD is a sensor that plugs into the OBD-II port in a vehicle to monitor things such as oil and filter changes. The device connects to a smartphone via Bluetooth and is powered by the vehicle. The app will estimate the costs of needed replacements and repairs as well. FIXD's Kickstarter campaign has a goal of $30K and backers can get a device for $40. Shipping is planned for April 2015.
