MDDI ONLINE – July 8 – Sales of wearables is projected to reach 112M by 2018, compared to 19M for 2014. 70% of those sales will be to track fitness. Millennials and Gen X-ers will be the most likely users of wearables. However, a study shows that 1/3 of Americans stop using their fitness trackers 6 months after purchase. Clinical wearables cleared by the FDA with specific applications have great potential to revolutionize healthcare.
