SILICON ANGLE – June 30 – MicrosoftStore.com has added three Insteon kits: Starter, Home & Business, along with 5 standalone devices. The kits start at $199 and the standalone devices start at $29.99. Insteon launched its Windows app earlier this month. Quirky is spinning off Wink into a separate company focused on home automation with the launch of a new Wink Hub and relaunch of the Wink app. The Wink Hub offers Bluetooth, ZigBee and Z-Wave, and WiFi connectivity, and will be available through Home Depot and Amazon for $79 on July 7. GE has unveiled its Link connected LED bulb available for pre-order at Home Depot for ~$15.
