PC WORLD – July 9 – According to an AT&T executive, the company will carry at least one wearable that can work independent of a smartphone by the end of the year. AT&T believes that once wearables can connect to LTE without a phone, it will open up a number of opportunities, similar to the tablet market. The company is also looking at cars as connected devices to enable voice commands and other driver safety features.
