TELEGRAM - June 15 - Kopin has launched its Pupil micro-displays, taking aim at the smart glass market. The displays range from 0.2” to 1.5” diagonally, and are small enough to be discretely mounted on the inside of the glasses frame. Kopin has long produced LCD displays for military headsets and weapons, though sales have declined to $8.3M in 2013, down from $19.7M in 2012. At the same time, commercial sales increase from $11M to $13M. According to IHS Global Insights, the global wearables market will reach $30B by 2018.
