ZD NET - June 27 - Ford is looking to leverage its SYNC platform to connect drivers' wearables to the vehicle and receive biometric data. The company hopes to use the data to monitor driver activity and allow the vehicle to react and respond to increase safety. Ford does not currently integrate any wearables into its vehicles, but is particularly interested in Pebble, Android, and iOS.
