TECH CRUNCH – June 19 – Apple has filed new patent applications related to a system that collects data from wearables on the iPhone to track user activity levels. The system will use that data to automatically set alarms, notifications, and device settings based on current user behavior. It would be able to do things like disabling Do Not Disturb if the user wakes early, changing audible alarms to vibrations if another person is detected in the bed, and automatic activity logging. The system factors in well with new features in iOS 8, as well as the much anticipated iWatch.
