Successfully adding reliable, non-invasive glucose monitoring to a wearable could bring enormous payoffs. Google has publicly revealed its glucose monitoring contact lens. Apple's FDA communications also point to glucose monitoring. Samsung is seeking developers of the technology for its Simband platform. All three companies have been acquiring talent in the space.
