PCMAG - Apr 8 - Samsung and Qualcomm were among the investors who invested $17M in Ineda Systems, a hardware startup that is developing chips for wearables and embedded IoT systems. Ineda introduced its first prototype product this week, a scalable, MIPPs-based System-on-a-Chip (SoC) platform for wearables branded "Dhanush." The startup is calling the platform a "Wearable Processing Unit," or WPU It promises always-on battery life for up to a month.
